How To Make Dalgona Coffee, The Internet's Trendiest Drink
If you’ve been on the Internet at all during quarantine, you’ve probably noticed a very photogenic and popular coffee taking over your social feeds. That would be dalgona coffee, an upside-down latte of sorts that originated in India and recently found popularity in Korea. It’s now exploded into an inescapable phenomenon, thanks to TikTok and Instagram.
If you’re looking to pick up a new project this month, this coffee is worth a try! Check out our video below for how to make it.
Ingredients
For one serving, we recommend:
2 tbsp hot water
2 tsbp instant coffee
2 tbsp sugar
milk of your choice
Mix the sugar, coffee & hot water in a bowl and whisk away — about 10 minutes should do — until you have a blend that is thick and fluffy. To cut down on whisking time, use an electric mixer (but if you’re looking to give your arms a workout, do it by hand!)
Fill up a cup about 2/3 with the milk of your choice, and pour that coffee cloud on top.
If you’re feeling adventurous, you can add matcha, Oreo crumbs, or hot chocolate to the mix. Enjoy!
